WAR DAYS

Cindy Sheehan was always right. She still is.

Harry Reid was wrong. It's not just the Iraq War that's lost, it's America.

"They" don't hate us, they hate Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, and Glenn Beck. When the slaughter begins, History will judge who the true extremists truly were, and how "they" finally brought about the very destruction we all suffered whether anyone actually deserved it or not. Constantly stirring their slurry of Fear & Panic. Continually supporting the troops until every last one was dead or maimed. Kissing the armor plated ass of the wrong Mars, and turning us against each other every chance they got.

Not Cindy, who has left the fray while still above it.

I celebrated Memorial Day by watching FAIL-SAFE at one in the morning.

Shuddering at the thought of George W. Bush in Henry Fonda's role, and brought to tears by the squeal of the melting phone in Moscow... the streets of Fay Lumet's New York in it's final moments, I was left with the final words of Rod Serling's most famous Astronaut; cantering down Zuma Beach with Nova lovingly attached, yet driven to his knees before the rusted and mangled remains of the Statue Of Liberty as he realizes that "they" had finally done it: "DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!"

Not Cindy; a Mother any Son can be proud of.

My Name is Michael Sterling, and it was a long weekend. Four years too long.
