Today is Charan Singh's Birthday.

Nine years ago today, the Supreme Court decision installed George W. Bush as the 43rd President of the United States.

Unfortunately, today was also the funeral of Robert E. Lawrence Sr. - a Cold Warrior, and member of the Greatest generation - who had stood at the rail of his vessel so that his superiors could judge the effect of an underwater nuclear explosion on surface ships and the sailors manning them. A second Father who once confided in me that his declining health and imminent death would be the result of following that very order.

As I write this, it is darker in San Diego than the final scenes of Ben-Hur, and it feels just as bad.

My Name is Michael Sterling, and life IS more than we know.
